T.G.I.F. ‘Thank Goodness It’s So Fabulous!’

It is official! I am leaving this Fabulous Friday (today!) for Scotland… Yes, even in spite of the Icelandic, volcanic ash!  Ugh!  I so hate (am scared, actually!) to fly! However, much awaited, my little boy (age 10) is going to play in an international golf tournament in Edinburgh. I am beaming with pride and  have decided that even though I am swamped with work, I have the rest of my life to be a designer and this chance right now to be a Mommy.  So….I am going with gusto!

Color has been my focus this week (and there is a lot more of that to come!), so I was intent on packing with colors and their coordinates in mind. This method is an excellent way to pack a suitcase, especially when space is limited.  By knowing what your best colors are and having your wardrobe revolve around them, you can pack fewer pieces and make many more outfits.  My neutrals are white (for summer, nothing is crisper and better) and gray. Both of those colors pair ever-so-beautifully with the purples and taupes that I love to mix with pops of color, such as coral.  I have enough outfits for the entire NINE days and only packed  TWELVE pieces, plus jewelry!   Not bragging, but how many times have you been able to pack lighter than your husband?!
