The birth of… “It’s So Fabulous!”

Some of you may have already noticed a few of the differences in my blog appearance. However, if you haven’t, you may need to hit the “refresh” button on your computer control bar in order to view our fresh, new “look”. As for the reasons WHY my staff and I decided to change my name… well, let’s just say there were a few “conflicting” internet search results for my previous blog name, “Miss Southern Elegance” (although, I DO still consider myself to be the reigning queen of this title, regardless!) If curiosity gets the best of you, completing a quick Google search for this name should provide you with all of the answers you seek. Get ready for a chuckle!

Now, once I determined that a new name needed to be chosen, I set out on a brainstorming task of mammoth proportions, which enlisted the assistance of anyone who would listen…. My staff, children, husband, and friends! I “polled” everyone I knew to help create the perfect blog name… one that truly encompassed what I wanted all of my clients and customers to think and say about Knotting Hill Interiors. Unfortunately, and much to my dismay, not a single name with this criteria presented itself, nor did any of the suggestions offered seem to be “the perfect fit”. Finally, as I sat at the shop one morning opening mail, I received a short letter written by one of my Myrtle Beach interior design clients. It simply read:

It’s so FABULOUS!

That is all.

And at that moment, I knew at once that my new blog had been born! This name had truly found ME! After all, if everything my staff and I could conceptualize, design, and sell could be described by my customers and clients as, “It’s so Fabulous!”, then anything else would simply be “icing” on the proverbial cake!

You will see that our newly renovated blog will often reference information regarding varying degrees of “fabulous-ness” in the realm of interior design! We hope you enjoy our new “look” and that you will feel completely welcome to add your own FABULOUS comments and suggestions at any time! My staff and I would LOVE to hear from you!

So once my new blog name, “It’s so FABULOUS!”, finally found me, the idea to feature “FAB FRIDAY FEATURED FINDS” soon followed. As such, the next logical step was to choose a Friday to launch my FABULOUS new persona! It took only a moment to decide that there could be a no more meaningful a day than today, “Good Friday”, to commence my fresh, new beginning! In fact, today is so much more than “good”… it’s FABULOUS!

So remember to join me every week to celebrate my new Friday motto:

T.G.I.F.  – “THANK GOODNESS IT’S FABULOUS!”

*FAB FRIDAY FEATURED FIND*

This week’s fabulous “find” is one created by a company called Halo Styles based out of High Point, NC. They are called “A-Z Nautical Pillows” and are available for purchase and order through Knotting Hill Interiors. These pillows are actually manufactured from authentic nautical flags and feature a single initial on each. For my son, Holden, I purchased two of these unique pillows with the initials, “H” and “G” (pictured below) for “Holden Grigg”. Their measurements are as follows: Height 16″, Length 24″, Depth 6″. Anyone interested in boating or nautical decor would be HOPPING with delight to receive one (or more!) of these delightful pillows from the Easter Bunny!

I was also told a sweet and endearing story about these pillows when I first saw them.  There was once a couple who shared a mutually passionate love for sailing. When the time arrived for the sailor to propose to his love, he came up with quite a creative idea! Rather than taking a more traditional approach, he instead spelled out his proposal, “Will You Marry Me?” with the initials of these pillows! Needless to say, she said, “YES!”. Well done, captain!

Pictured below are just a few examples of the FABULOUS pillow designs, with initials.

NOW, GO HAVE A FABULOUS DAY!
