T.G.I.F. “Thank Goodness It’s So Fabulous!”
THIS FABULOUS FRIDAY, I HAVE FOUND…
“It’s So Fabulous!” Design Find of the Week: UPHOLSTERED DOORS! Ever since I returned several weeks ago from the Atlanta Decorators’ Show House & Gardens, I have not been able to stop thinking about a beautiful, yellow-upholstered master bathroom door that I saw there. The tufted door was created by talented Atlanta artist, Raymond Goins. I have been hoping and hoping that photos of this space would eventually emerge online, but thus far, I still have not seen any (No one was permitted to photograph the interiors of the home). So, unfortunately, I do not have pictures of that FABULOUS door to share in this blog, but it did inspire me to look for other examples of upholstered doors.
“It’s So Fabulous!” Fashion Find of the Week: Ok, so I noticed recently that several of my friends and clients were suddenly sporting the most AMAZING eyelashes I had EVER seen! Wondering what in the world they had discovered that I had not, I asked one of them. I learned that she had gotten “eyelash extensions”! How FUN is that?! Basically, a lash artist attaches 100’s of additional, long lashes to the ones you already have, and the result is this absolutely gorgeous and dramatic outcome! The pain-free process takes a couple of hours to complete, and the new lashes last from 3 to 6 weeks before they have to be touched up. Has anyone out there tried this procedure? If so, please comment with your insights! I would love to hear them!
“It’s So Fabulous!” Quote of the Week: I was cleaning out some old files this week, and out fell a tiny scrap of paper. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was actually a fabulous little quote from a fortune cookie. I guess I must have saved it years ago and just stuck it in the file for future reference. I am certain I must loved it as much back then as I do today! Here it is:
“Success is rarely created unless you are having fun at it.”
“It’s So Fabulous!” Recipe of the Week: If you are travelling this holiday weekend, why not make a tasty trail mix to take on the road? As some of you may already know, I am a lifelong vegetarian, as well as a semi-recent health food convert. So, here is my version of a delicious and healthy trail mix for the whole family to enjoy…
“KIMPLISTIC” TRAIL MIX
1 cup dried fruit of your choice
1/2 cup salted seeds (sunflower and pumpkin are fabulous!)
1 cup salted nuts of your choice
1/2 cup naturally-sweetened coconut
1/2 cup yogurt covered raisins
1 cup mini bagel chips (whatever flavor you love the most)
TOSS ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER… AND ENJOY!
NOW, GO HAVE AN “It’s So Fabulous!” HOLIDAY WEEK-END!
