T.G.I.F. “Thank Goodness It’s So Fabulous!”

THIS FABULOUS FRIDAY, I HAVE FOUND…

““It’s So Fabulous!” Book of the Week: The book I read this week is called Linchpin by Seth Godin. What an incredible read for people looking to become more valuable assets to their employers, thereby making themselves indispensable to the company!  The people who become these “linchpins” within a business are true artists of life, giving at maximum capacity and problem-solving with creativity. They are not “in the box” type of people, but rather those who openly, and humanly, give of themselves. If you are interested in learning what it takes to recognize and become one of these individuals, I highly recommend this book. My copy was given to me by a brilliant business associate who believes whole-heartedly that these concepts can change your career…. and your life!

“It’s So Fabulous!” Fashion Find of the Week: How many of you despise raccoon eyes created from runny mascara?! It is, without a doubt, one of my biggest pet peeves! If you are an athlete, or simply someone who melts in the warm weather, and you do NOT like waterproof mascara, I have got a FABULOUS product for you to try. The product is called “Kiss Me” mascara by a company called Blinc. This mascara actually forms “tubes” of color around your lashes, and no matter what you do, the mascara will not run or smudge! And then, when you are ready at night to take your make-up off, just use warm water and a wash cloth to remove it! And yet, it still will not smear, and it actually pulls off of your lashes with ease.  What a particularly fabulous product to own in the summertime humidity of South Carolina! You can find “Kiss Me” mascara online or in some department stores. You will not believe it until you try it!

“It’s So Fabulous!” Quote of the Week: “Action Expresses Priorities.”  -Mahatma Gahndi.  How sweet and to-the-point is that one?! Yet what wisdom exists in such an incredible  three-word sentence! It is so easy to get caught up in a bunch of talk and not a lot of activity toward reaching goals. However, if we focus on taking small steps toward our destinations, we will be always be moving forward!

“It’s So Fabulous!” Design Find of the Week: TURQUOISE! Yes, after being at the High Point Furniture Market a few weeks ago and seeing all of the wonderful displays of this color, I realized how hot it is going to be (or IS!) this season! When we visited the Atlanta Decorators’ Show House last week, the most amazing chandelier EVER was hanging in the dining area, strung with genuine turquoise beads that were absolutely stunning! In fact, I plan to duplicate that light fixture in my newest home remodeling project. I will be sure to keep you updated as I progress. There is just something about a pop of turquoise in a home design that reminds me of the beach and blue skies… Definitely cannot get enough of that!
