T.G.I.F. “Thank Goodness It’s So Fabulous!”

“It’s So Fabulous!” NEWS and NEW FRIEND of the Week:

Lindsay Milbourne, meteorologist

This week, I was thrilled to be interviewed by my new friend, Lindsay Milbourne, of WBTW News! The clip aired on Wednesday evening, and I was delighted with the FABULOUS job she (and her co-workers) did of promoting the “green design” movement! Thank you, Lindsay, and WBTW News!

“It’s So Fabulous!” DESIGN ROOM of the Week:

The September 2010 cover of Veranda Magazine has been making me drool ever since it arrived on the shelves! It is soooooo FAB, and I am actually planning to use it as my inspiration in an upcoming design for one of my clients!

“It’s So Fabulous!” FABRIC LINES of the Week:

My favorite fabric lines of the week are the new selections from Scalamandre.  This company has been around for a really long time and is a classic. However, it has recently been purchased by a new owner, so I can’t wait to see what is in store for the future! Their fabrics are nothing short of timelessly fabulous!

“It’s So Fabulous!” EVENT of the Week:

My favorite event of the week was the return to my painting class!  After a month long sabbatical, I am so ready to paint again.  The break was refreshing, but I love my class and this wonderful creative outlet!

Ok, you caught me.... this painting is not really mine. It is Claude Monet's Water Lillies from 1914. But hey, we all have to start somewhere, right!?

“It’s So Fabulous!” DESIGN BOOK of the Week:

This week’s design book is an extra-special one, and it falls right in line with the connection between fashion and interior design that I have been blogging about all week! It is called Yves Saint Laurent and is a tribute to the late (and great!) Yves Saint Laurent. It is packed with  tons of fabulous, glossy photos of designer drawings and fabrics, as well as enticing interviews and information you may not encounter elsewhere. Truly the perfect coffee table book that you should absolutely add to your “must have” list!

Here’s the REALLY exciting part, though….. ONE of my lucky blog subscribers is going to WIN a copy of this fabulous new book! That’s right! I am giving away a copy of this book to one randomly selected “It’s So Fabulous!” blog subscriber!
