Dining Under Holiday Decor

When thoughts of celebrating Christmas come to mind, my most common visions are of my children opening gifts by the Christmas tree and enjoying a festive meal with family and friends.  The dining room holds a special place in my heart during the holidays. Long after the china from the Christmas feast has been washed and put away, the memories of those jovial conversations and light-hearted laughter remain.

One of my favorite focal points of dining room holiday decor is the chandelier (or chandelier alternative). The embellishments you choose to hang over your dining room table can truly set the tone for the entire space. If you are in search of inspiration, take a look at some of the fabulous examples pictured below.

From Southern Living:

Hand-strung apples and cranberries adorn this chandelier.

Simple clear and gold ornaments hung from this light fixture make an elegant statement.

Greenery and ribbon are always a lovely choice.

This extravagant - and BOLD! - chandelier is one of my favorites!

From Veranda:

Classic and festive!

From Traditional Home:

Woodsy and well-edited.

From My Home Ideas:

Beautiful, yet understated, touches of holiday color. The fresh blooms are a fabulous addition.

Homemade - and edible! - chandelier decorations!

From Inspire Bohemia:

Simple, bright red ribbons tied to these chandeliers bring them to life against the stark contrast of the white walls.

Jewel tone Christmas balls are all that is needed to dress up this light fixture.

I love the drama of this all-red table embellishment!

From Better Homes & Gardens:

Sometimes, simple greenery is all that is needed to complete a look!

In this case, small ribbons tied from this chandelier are a perfect compliment to the rest of the Christmas decor.

From Coastal Living:

NOW, GO HAVE AN “It’s So Fabulous!” DAY!
