Cozy Spaces (Part 2): Window Seats & Reading Nooks
One of my favorite relaxing pleasures in life is to curl up with a great book and a cup of hot tea on a chilly Fall day. In my home, I have a specific little space carved out as my reading nook. Although I do not get to enjoy it as often as I would like, it is certainly worth the wait when time permits!
Even if you do not necessarily enjoy reading, window seats are still delicious little corners of the world to relax away a lazy day. Without a doubt, these delightful escapes fit the bill as extraordinary “cozy spaces”!
Join me for a few minutes on a photo journey through some relaxation-inspiring “nooks”….
From Architectural Digest:

This “nook” is quite expansive, but the view and beautiful natural light comprise the perfect environment for kicking back and relaxing away the day!
From House Beautiful:
From My Ideal Home:

The yummy pillows and casual throw, combined with the rich wood overhead, make this reading space just as ideal for an afternoon nap!

I love the functional drapes in front of this window seat. One could truly hide away from the world behind them!
From Southern Living:

The neutral color palette of this window seat, along with the crystal chandelier, make it feel dressy, yet still cozy.
From Traditional Home:

Ok, who could NOT love this window seat!? The drapes feel like casual royalty, and the view of the surrounding space is absolute perfection!
